Erik edge – Director of Client Services
Erik is a co-owner of Gennix and our Director of Client Services. He leads our team of service technicians drawing on his 20+ years of IT support experience in the computer industry. He has worked for numerous clients, from small businesses to large corporate customers in Canada and South Africa. If he is not busy resolving a complex IT issue you will find him spending time with his active family or perhaps refereeing a soccer game.
James DeWolf – Helpdesk Technician
James joined Gennix in 2014 after a decade of working for a major electronics retailer. He brings a wealth of customer service and computer troubleshooting experience along with a resourceful attitude for getting IT issues resolved. James enjoys technology so much that he spends his off-hours reading up on the latest tech trends but still finds time to work on cars and cheer on the Vancouver Canucks.
Ren Giesbrecht – Director of Business Development
Ren is a co-owner of Gennix and our Director of Business Development. He has been in the business of providing IT support for over 24 years and is using his experience to oversee finance and marketing for Gennix. Away from the office Ren enjoys spending quality time with his wife, quoting movie lines with his kids and cheering on his Winnipeg Jets to Stanley Cup glory.
Tim edge – Field Technician
Tim joined Gennix in 2020 as a Junior Field Technician. He brings quick learning and a knack for hardware repairs to the team. When he is not in the office, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and building computers from anything he can get his hands on.

Andy Liao – Field Technician
Andy joined the Gennix Team in 2014 bringing with him technical training from BCIT and over 10 years of desktop support experience. He enjoys tackling IT challenges and is able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. In his spare time, he enjoys building things with his hands and watching movies. During winter you will find Andy skating or skiing and if he has any energy left after that he will be trying his hand at some software development…just for fun.
Peter Sylvester – Field Technician
Peter came to Gennix in 2013 after many years of providing computer and telephone support at a local university. His passion for computer automation and gadgetry helps him come up with creative solutions to technical problems making him a great fit for our team. When not behind his Gennix desk, Peter values family time and is very involved with volunteer work at his church. Other interests (although not pursued as often as they should be) are cycling and watching the South African Springboks teach the All Blacks a lesson.
